Bridges & Tunnels c. 02

Bridges & Tunnel c. 02 by House of 1123

A nostalgic night in the city, before the smoking ban.

New York, 2002. You crossed the river for one night: a freezing line outside, then a wall of heat at the door.

It opens with an icy blast of air and zesty lemon, then vodka-cranberry, sour apple martini and fizzy energy-drink candy. Inside, cigarette smoke drifts through the lasers over sweet tobacco, a black leather jacket and a stranger's clean cologne. By 4 a.m. it's warm skin, soft musk and smoky woods, with a little burnt sugar still on your collar.

For everyone who crossed a bridge or a tunnel to dance, party and socialize.
